A vehicle’s rear window’s mysterious smashing caught the attention of the Quadra Island RCMP.

The vehicle’s owner and passenger were parked at the Quathiaski Cove ferry loading area on March 21 when they heard a rear window smash. They initially thought it was a BB gun, but the complainants, staff, and the witnesses on scene did not recall seeing anyone with a BB gun, nor did anyone recall hearing a BB gun.

Police have yet to solve the cause of the broken window and found no evidence supporting BB guns were the cause. Officers helped clean up the broken glass.
