Campbell River Fire Rescue responded to a small brush fire reported south of Jubilee Parkway, around the trails, at roughly 10 a.m. on April 17.
“We have some sort of a brush fire happening a few hundred metres in the bush here. We’ve got crews from both Station 1 and Station 2 currently deployed and actioning the fire,” says Deputy Fire Cheif Kelly Bellefleur. “It appears there was some campfire activity right in the area where the fire is.”
BC Wildfire was also made aware of the fire.
